Parks and Recreation Services Coordinator The Parks and Recreation Services Coordinator is responsible to and reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services, providing administrative and organizational support in performing and coordinating the following tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Duties:
Assist in updating online and in-person registration forms for seasonal registrations.
Assist with updating league and field schedules for youth and adult sports during the season.
Provide assistance with set up and programming for adult programs, check rosters, and make sure all team rosters are in compliance with established Department guidelines.
Knowledge of online registration systems to provide program coordinators with updated registration lists as requested, and to keep Director and Assistant Director informed of requests as they occur.
Assist in processing and inventory of uniforms, supplies, and equipment as they are delivered.
Ability to communicate with Finance Secretary regarding deliveries, processing of packing slips, and any discrepancies in said deliveries.
Knowledge of municipal purchasing procedures to assist in obtaining quotes for supplies and services and updating Director and Assistant Director on status of assigned tasks.
Keep building maintenance records, checking and reporting any facility maintenance issues to Director and Assistant Director, providing assistance to help resolve issues as required.
Assist in maintaining and organizing food pantry supplies.
Take facility reservations and keep track of building schedule, responsible for informing Director and Assistant Director of coverage needs, and calling building supervisors for coverage as assigned.
Schedule and maintain transportation appointments, assist the drivers with daily and weekly schedules as needed, and notify drivers of daily schedules/client pick-ups.
Assist clients with securing transportation for medical and shopping needs as needed.
Maintain the Meals on Wheels client list and volunteer schedules.
Maintain walk-in registration area, keeping it up to date and organized with current registration information.
Compile monthly, quarterly, and end of year reports including, but not limited to transportation, beach attendance and deposits, senior activities, recreation programs, and other areas as assigned.
Available in office for answering phones and assisting public for Recreation and Community Services needs.
Available for occasional evening and weekend activities as needed.
Other related duties as needed.
