Production Scheduler

Position Summary:
Responsible for creating and maintaining a valid master schedule for material and capacities by effectively balancing supply and demand for product. A valid master schedule is aligned with the operating plan resulting from Sales and is the basis for detailed manufacturing schedules, which are executable on the production floor; level loaded, and optimizes capacity utilization and inventory.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Responsible for effectively and efficiently utilizing system capacity, workforce and other company resources to produce customer purchase orders by customer due date.
Responsible for the day-to-day management and publication of the Master Production Schedule and handling of all changes and deviations.
Analyze demand and supply at the item, customer, and master schedule levels, determine out-of-balance conditions, identify alternatives through internal staff facilitation, recommend actions for approval.
Work with all departments to better understand competitive lead times for master scheduled items, seek ways to reduce internal lead times as well as lead times to the customer.
Create a master schedule that can be used for detailed material/capacity planning as well as financial planning. Establish a working relationship with all company functions.
Develop and maintain planning details, including Maintenance requirements, line layouts, machine options, staffing needs, die requirements, and raw/finished item catalog.
Maintain daily purchased inventory records.
Produce daily / weekly / monthly reports, including Daily Labor Sales, Production vs. Plan, Schedule Compliance Metric, and Capacity Utilization.
Understand and have extensive knowledge on all Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms that pertain to the Master Scheduling position.
Facilitate training on any changes to SOPs, policies, WI, etc.
Attend and participate in any classes, groups or committees as instructed.
Continually work to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions.
All other duties, as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities: Must be willing to be on call 24-7.
Education, Skills & Experience Required: 3-5 years experience in similar position.
Computer/Communication Skills:
Basic Windows programs: MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
The ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Hours are 7:30am - 4pm.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
